About Box Score Basketball
Our goal at Box Score Basketball is to provide an objective analysis on teams and players
of the NBA. We have several target audiences in mind for this web site
(in no particular order):
We will try to do all of our analysis using only the "box score" as well as team stats presented in most papers and websites. This is the key: we want to make all of our studies reproducible. There are a few other websites out there that do provide great in depth analysis using game trackers for each game (and each second!). What they give us fans is something that this web site is not going to try to provide. We aim to study the game using the box score, and we hope our claims get refuted and others present papers and studies that we can post here. We'll let the readers come to their own conclusions on such debates.
